Kim: Finding Happiness In Sobriety
Kim didn’t think she would ever find happiness. Self-described as a terrible mother and one of the unhappiest and loneliest people on the planet, Kim also kept her alcoholism a dark secret. She was exposed when a drinking binge cost her a job.
Humiliated and lower than she ever thought she’d be, Kim turned to Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center (PaRC). Grief counseling and after care helped her work through problems she never thought she’d overcome. At 53 and sober for more than a year, Kim is once again where she never thought she would be following her time at PaRC. “I have found a happiness and peace that is awesome. It’s indescribable and wonderful.”
