Associate Vice President, Behavioral Health Services
Theresa Fawvor directs the System Team that is staffed by all master level clinical professionals and a full time psychiatrist. All staff are licensed by their respective boards to respond to behavioral health needs of patients who present to system emergency rooms and medical units 24/7 with some identified behavioral health need. Additionally, the accountability of PaRC Risk Management and Performance Improvement roll up to this leader. The Annual Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certifications for BHS Division employees (~200) are provided through this instructor’s monthly educational efforts. As a TSBSWE Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, this leader provides clinical supervision to LMSW’s in the Division. This provides the Clinical oversight necessary to allow Behavioral Health LMSW’s to sit for advanced boards (LCSW) for two years post graduate degree which solidifies the expertise of our licensed employee partners.
In addition Theresa provides consultation and leadership on Behavioral Health issues identified on the acute care and outpatient side of the organization 24/7. She is an identified system expert for proactively managing the risks psychiatric patients create in the acute care setting and work to hard-wire patient and staff safety practices across the enterprise through education initiatives for nursing and other direct care providers.
