Day Rehab Program
Memorial Hermann Prevention & Recovery Center offers Day Rehab or what is also referred to as Partial Hospitalization Program for people struggling with drugs or alcohol. The program also called “day program” or “PHP” is located on our main campus in Houston. If you need the intensity of a residential program, but also the ability to go home in the evenings, PaRC’s day treatment program might be a good option for you.
As part of your day rehabilitation program you will also have access to campus amenities. Those amenities include our Serenity Gardens, fitness center, café, recreation area, internet lab, spiritual chapels and recovery bookstore & gift shop.
In our day treatment program for drug or alcohol addiction you will receive most of the same components of our full-time residential treatment program. Those components include counseling, education, family program and one-year aftercare program.
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Saturday, 9:00am – 11:00am
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is Comprehensive
In PaRC’s day rehab program you will get the counseling you need to get down to core issues that are fueling your drug or alcohol addiction. PaRC’s Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors are highly educated, trained and experienced. Our counselors will relate to your thoughts, feelings and experiences. They will help you overcome the things that stand in the way of your freedom from addiction.
The counseling you receive in PHP will help you start the process of separating your true authentic self from the shame, guilt, sadness and other troublesome emotions that come along with addiction.
In the education component of our day rehab program you will learn important life skills that will help make you more successful in recovery. You will learn about the disease of addiction and about preventing relapse. Finally, you will learn about the effects of addiction on you and your loved ones.
As you learn more about addiction, many of your self-destructive behaviors and thoughts will make more sense to both you and your family; you will begin to see them as by-products of the addiction and not as who you really are.
Your family needs help in dealing with the damage that drugs and alcohol have done to the family. Your family also needs help in learning how to support your recovery without enabling you; family members need to know when to help and when to step back. In PaRC’s day treatment program, your family will learn those things. Family counseling sessions, family education and our Family Aftercare Program will become the cornerstone of your family’s success in healing and in your own recovery.
You and your family will be encouraged to attend our one-year Aftercare Program during and after your treatment in our partial hospitalization program. Aftercare sessions are held on Saturday mornings. Our Aftercare Program provides continued support for both you and your family members. Long-term support has been shown to decrease relapse rates and increase success rates.
