When you connect with other people in recovery and share your experiences, strength and hope with each other, you strengthen your own foundation for success. PaRC's Alumni Association helps connect you with others who are building their recovery one day at a time, just like you. Our alumni association is a fellowship of former patients from Memorial Hermann Prevention & Recovery Center. Once you complete PaRC's Inpatient, Outpatient or Aftercare program, you become a member of the PaRC Alumni Association. There is no cost to join.
"Being an active PaRC alumna has given me a life I never dreamed I would have. I have a family who I have reconnected with and I now have a family of my own. I have a wonderful partner who I met through the PaRC Alumni Association and we have a beautiful 1-year-old daughter together. I also now have friends I can actually count on and trust. We all have a common denominator...sobriety." Leslie M., PaRC alumna
Your loved ones are welcome to join the association with you. We encourage family members to become active and join our sober support network. All individuals who actively participate in alumni association meetings and activities may become honorary members of our alumni association.
Since it's important to stay active and connected in recovery, the alumni association hosts many family-oriented events throughout the year. Activities such as retreats, campouts, dances, BBQs, potluck dinners, holiday events and a yearly alumni banquet provide you with fellowship, laughter and fun. In this fellowship, you can build lifelong sober friendships that will help support you in your recovery.
The PaRC alumni group is a great avenue to have fun in sobriety. I'm enjoying all the functions and retreats and have made more real friends than I've ever had before." — Mike S., PaRC alumnus
To complement your association membership, PaRC also provides you with a membership to our online recovery community at OneHealth.com. Here you will find a private community of PaRC alumni and others in recovery in addition to many recovery resources such as online meetings, blogs, articles and forums. Online sober social networks like OneRecovery keep you connected when you can't get out and attend a live 12-step meeting or event.
