PaRC’s Extended Care Treatment Program – 90 Days
While PaRC’s award-winning alcohol drug rehab treatment programs for
adults and young adults are already set up to accommodate the individual
needs of our patients, many people benefit from more time and attention
in our residential program, which allows them to address their issues
and build an even stronger foundation in recovery. 30 days may not be
enough, so our extended care residential treatment program is designed
to meet a person’s needs based on their personal history, family
situation and professional requirements.
Our ninety day program
benefits a person seeking treatment for the first time, as well as
licensed professionals, people who may require a longer detox, people
who have experienced multiple treatments, those who have used alcohol
and drugs heavily for many years, or those who have struggled through
legal problems and chronic relapse episodes.
Although our focus
is on helping people find solutions to their alcohol and drug problems,
that is only the start. We know that addictive use of prescription
drugs, illegal drugs and alcohol can complicate all areas of one’s
life—personal, spiritual, emotional, behavioral, financial, educational,
professional—creating dysfunction, anxiety, uncertainty and
unmanageability. That is why our program addresses these areas.
The
90-day program is structured in three phases, each one being
approximately 30 days in duration. However, treatment is individualized
and the components are flexible, as is the length of participation. Our
objective is to help the person achieve their treatment goals and
improve the quality of their life in recovery with the help and guidance
of our experienced and dedicated treatment team—a primary counselor,
addiction medicine physicians and psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and
other licensed professionals.
As a person moves through the
various treatment levels (detox, residential, partial day
treatment/transitional) and program phases they participate in more
specialty education and process groups, therapeutic and recreational
activities, the Family Program, engage in extensive 12-step work, and
attend outside 12-step program meetings. The program phases can be
described in this way:
Phase One - Commitment to Change
- Realization of our need to change
- Acceptance of our addiction
- Assessing barriers to sobriety
Phase Two - Taking Action
- Becoming responsible for our attitudes and behaviors
- Exploring emotional responses and reactions
- Moving from excuses to reality
Phase Three - Applying the Principles
- Reclaim personal integrity
- Develop positive relationships with family and friends
- Engage in meaningful life activities
- Reintegration with home, work or school life
Studies
have shown conclusively that the more time a person spends engaged in
an intensive treatment program the more likely they are to succeed at
maintaining long term sobriety and enjoy a more meaningful recovery.
According to NIDA, three months is the threshold for significant
improvement for most alcoholics and addicts.
Since PaRC
participates in most insurance and managed care networks, it is possible
that the majority of treatment costs can be covered under an insurance
plan, which limits a person’s financial exposure. Our 90-day treatment
program also costs less than many 30-day treatment programs. Contact us
for more information about treatment costs and affordability.
